I began practicing Bikram Yoga in 2009.  I completed my teacher training in 2010.  During my training, Bikram told me that I would change the lives of many people.  I believe this yoga will change your life...if you let it.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Kay, and my two Goldendoodles, Cooper and Rio.  I enjoy hiking and spending time at the beach.

I have been practicing Bikram Yoga since 2004.  After getting bored with my local gym, a coworker suggested I try Bikram Yoga.  After one yoga class, I cancelled my gym membership and began practicing yoga every day.  I completed my teacher training two years later in the Fall of 2006.

Bikram Yoga has carried me through many different seasons of life. Originally, it helped me to overcome an eating disorder and depression.  Bikram Yoga has always helped to keep me in shape and maintain a healthy lifestyle.  Bikram Yoga supported me through two pregnancies and helped me to have healthy homebirths.  Today, as a busy homeschooling mom of two young children, Bikram Yoga provides an outlet and community for me outside of my home.  Practicing yoga provides me with mental clarity, which helps me to balance all of my daily responsibilities.

When I’m not teaching or practicing Bikram Yoga, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids, reading cookbooks, hiking, cooking/baking, watching movies, and camping.

I started practicing yoga in May of 2010, and completed my teacher training in the Spring of 2013.  I started practicing Bikram Yoga for a better workout.  I felt like I was spinning my wheels and wasting time working out at the gym.  I took my first Bikram Yoga class and fell in love with this type of yoga.  It was challenging physically, but I was drawn to the mental challenge of the yoga--something that I wasn't getting from other types of exercise.

Bikram Yoga has brought so much awareness to my life.  I am grateful to have found this yoga because I didn't realize how disconnected I was (in many areas of my life) until I started practicing.  What keeps me practicing is the mental health benefits from the yoga.  I struggle with depression and yoga is the most natural way for me to heal myself.

When I’m not practicing or teaching yoga, I LOVE to travel, bake, line dance, and doodle/color.

I started my yoga journey over 10 years ago when I had reconstructive surgery on both of my feet and could no longer run as a form of working out.  I found Bikram Yoga when my community gym closed for a couple of weeks for a remodel.  My Bikram studio became my second home.

After completing my first 30-day challenge and winning a year of free yoga, I was hooked.  Upon retiring from the Scottsdale Police Department in 2011, I completed my Bikram teacher training in the Spring of 2012.  Even though I study other forms of yoga, I always come back to my Bikram practice as it helps to keep chronic pain at bay.

I have been practicing Bikram Yoga since 2013.  I completed my teacher training in the Fall of 2015.  I started Bikram Yoga because of a shoulder injury.  Bikram Yoga has helped me greatly as I have less pain and greater range of motion in my shoulders, hips, and spine.  Bikram Yoga has also helped me to become more self-disciplined and patient.

When I’m not teaching or practicing Bikram Yoga, I enjoy cooking, hiking, and watching movies.

I have been practicing Bikram Yoga since 2004.  I started practicing Bikram Yoga to heal my injuries from rowing and running.  I completed my teacher training in the Fall of 2015. After teacher training, I had the opportunity to teach at Bikram New Delhi for a few weeks.

Bikram has changed my life! I have a very stressful job that requires patience and focus. Bikram yoga provides me with time to practice being at the highest point of stress and breathing through it without ever losing patience or focus.

When I’m not teaching or practicing yoga, I love to row, hike and run trails, and fly from a trapeze.

I have been practicing Bikram Yoga since 2011. My interest in yoga was highly influenced by dance and cheerleading, which I participated in throughout elementary and high school. Bikram Yoga came naturally to me because I have always been fairly flexible; I fell in love immediately.

Practicing Bikram regularly has helped immensely in the healing process of the many injuries that came with tumbling and cheerleading. I have not yet been able to experience Bikram Yoga Teacher Training but I hope to do so soon.

I love working the front desk at BYRS and being a part of the yoga family we have built. When I'm not at the studio working or practicing, I love to hike with my dog, go to concerts, and experiment in the kitchen with creative plant-based meals.
